Sleep

A baby sleep tracker that lives in your Dynamic Island

Tap once when your baby falls asleep and once when they wake up. Wobbly keeps the timer on your Lock Screen, lays the day out on a timeline and shows how it compares with typical sleep for your baby's age.

Start the timer in one tap — even with your hands full

Tap “Asleep” on the Today screen and the timer appears in the Dynamic Island and as a Live Activity on the Lock Screen. When your baby wakes up, stop it right there — no need to unlock the phone or open the app.

  • Say “Baby fell asleep” to Siri
  • Add the sleep toggle to Control Center
  • Start and stop sleep from your Apple Watch, with watch face complications

The whole day at a glance

Every nap, night stretch and feed lands on a single day timeline. Wobbly adds up today's sleep, shows how long your baby has been awake and draws weekly charts, so you can see patterns instead of guessing them at 3 a.m.

How much sleep is typical in the first year?

Sleep needs change quickly. Newborns often sleep 14–17 hours in 24 hours, in short stretches spread across day and night. Between 4 and 12 months most babies sleep about 12–16 hours in total, including naps, and night sleep slowly gets longer.

Awake windows grow too: from roughly 45–60 minutes in the first weeks to 2–3 hours towards the first birthday. Wobbly shows the guideline for your baby's current month right next to your real numbers. These are ranges, not targets — every baby has their own rhythm.

Know when the next nap is coming

With Wobbly Plus you keep the full sleep history, see 30-day charts and get a sleep prediction: a gentle hint about when your baby is likely to be ready for the next nap, based on their awake window.

A diary, not a monitor

Wobbly records sleep that you log. It does not watch or detect anything about your baby. Always follow safe sleep guidance: on the back, on a firm flat surface, in their own sleep space.

Questions parents ask

Does the sleep timer keep running if I close the app?

Yes. The timer runs as a Live Activity, so it stays in the Dynamic Island and on the Lock Screen and you can stop it from there without opening Wobbly.

Can I track sleep from Apple Watch?

Yes. The Wobbly watch app starts and stops sleep and feeding timers, and complications show the running timer on your watch face.

Is the sleep tracker free?

Yes. The timer, the day timeline, awake windows and the last 7 days of history are free. Wobbly Plus adds the full history, 30-day charts and sleep prediction.

How much should a 3-month-old sleep?

Around 3–4 months many babies sleep about 9–10 hours at night plus 3 naps of 40 minutes to 2 hours, with 1.5–2 hours awake between sleeps. Treat this as a guideline and talk to your pediatrician if you are worried.
